Image Splitter

Split one image into a grid of separate tiles. Download all tiles in a ZIP, at the original pixel resolution, without uploading your photo.

JPG, PNG, WebP · 20 MB per file · 80 MB combined · 40 megapixels per photo. Files stay on your device.

Split into rows and columns

Select a photo, choose your grid, and create the tiles. Use one row for a horizontal strip or one column for a vertical strip. You can make up to 64 tiles, with at most 10 rows or columns. The numbered preview shows reading order from the top left; the lines and numbers are not included in the files.

Original pixels, with no gaps

The splitter divides the entire image. If its dimensions do not divide evenly, some tiles will be one pixel wider or taller so every source pixel is included. It does not turn rectangular tiles into squares or resize them for a particular social platform.

Filenames include row and column, such as tile-r01-c02.png. Unzip the download to see each tile. For posting a profile grid, confirm the platform’s current thumbnail shape and posting order before publishing; the ZIP order is for organizing your files.

PNG or JPG?

Choose PNG to retain transparency and avoid lossy compression. JPG usually makes smaller photographic files but adds compression and places transparent areas on white. Metadata from the source is not copied to either export. Splitting does not recover detail that was absent from the original.
